Malou's Last day

I will surely miss Malou, her bubbly disposition, naive yet wise, sensitive but strongwilled, extrovert and introvert at the same time, always ready to give herself willingly, mapasaya lang kami. It can be because of her wit, famous Fashion walk, certified hottie on cam, and a dancer even on a moonlight.. sigh.. its hard to lose someone whom you considered an ally, true friend and confidante at all times..
Anyway, we parted ways not that far..time difference lang hehe..same company, same department but in different time zone..meaning zombie life siya..hehe..
goodluck malou, and more success to come! you'll definitely blend with your new team mates! As a gift, I presented below items I called Gift of Time Certificate(s):

Bye Malou, kita kits na lang sa friendster.. promise di tayo aabsent sa mga community and environmental awareness projects ha.. see yah sa next Coral Watch!

as election day nearing......

Qualifications for BEI o Board of Election Inspectors
Sec. 2. Qualifications of members of the BEI. - No public school teacher shall be appointed as chairman or member of the BEI, whether regular, substitute or temporary, unless he:
Is of good moral character and irreproachable reputation;
Is a registered voter of the city or municipality;
Has never been convicted of any election offense or of any other crime punishable by more than six (6) months of imprisonment, or has no pending case filed against him for any election offense; and
Is able to speak and write English or the local dialect.

Alangan naman na kaya sila nadisqualify dahil sila ay may police record, hindi rehistradong botante, pero kahit na ano pa mang dahilan, dapat meron pa rin silang notice. Sabi nga nung isang guro " We deserved to be treated fairly, we are professionals here..and we should be given due respect of notifyng that we are not any more appointed as BEI, unless there is a hideous reason behind all of this.."

tama nga siya..

Hay naku, Politics in the Philippines at its Finest..

Tiyak sa kankungan na naman tayo pupulutin..

Call Center -nearing end?

End of Outsourcing?

Nabasa ko sa isang blog ung tungkol sa HomeShoring kung saan any company would get any person of his service doing business using his/her home phone and PC, meaning Less Overhead cost for the company.

In an effort to cut costs, companies have been outsourcing their call center functions for the past decade to low-wage workers in India, the Philippines and other far-flung countries. But that trend is changing as call centers are coming home—and into the homes of free-agent workers in the United States. [Society for Human Resource Management Online]
On my own opinion it doesn’t have to create any threat for us, yeah , since Outsourcing or Telemarketing or Call Centre been with us for a longer time, and definitely Homeshoring applies only to those people opted for early retirement. Making some money while enjoying their last days (kiddin!) but for us Filipinos whose in the early stage of careers, this wont be a good endeavor, maybe most of us would still prefer to fill vacancies or look for vacancy in a dynamically evolving system, meaning “ World with whole bunch of Vultures, wolves and worst kinds”
Back to the labor scenario, cant we see how other countries treat us as a low paying bunch of Brown people hovering with any dumb work they might want to offer? Speaking of Cheap labor here, some may say whose into the Call Center biz that they are up to front in terms of Tech issues and they are being trained to be a leader of Innovation for this, making our assembly line labor industry touted as one leap towards high tech , but it led us nowhere. Imagine buying a first model of CD that came out locally and you asked where it was made and been told that its all imported parts but locally built and made here in the phils. Its clear right? We in fact pinoys are only doing a portion of the work so that no one would really get a “whole picture” of the products. We didn’t given a work so that we can learn to be able to compete. Nada, In our dreams pinoys.
And what more, people do not want to hear all of this, preferring to live in dreamland. And if someone tells them that the CC industry is equal to dumbing down our youth and they will call you things like “arrogant” or “elitist” or “snob” as though you were looking down at them instead of trying to pull them up.
Hindi ba nila alam na ang solution sa lahat ng ito is Entrepreneurship at self reliance. Kaya nga di nag susustain ang anumang work industry or fad sa atin kasi Philippines is only a supplier of Labor, and industry that is dependent on the operations of business model(mga kapitalista). Foreign interest can easily relocate business elsewhere na mas cheap ang labor cost. Inorder for us not to be easily dumped, we need local engineers and entrepreneurs who can create and support business models into success. Tingan mo, Si Tan may ari ng Asia Brewery,PAL and PNB. Sy owns SM and commercial banks, Ty owns Metrobank, Ayala owns properties, Globe and BPI/FEBTC.

“Self Reliance is really the key. We cannot be dependent on the whims of other people, especially those whose prime motivation is their own profits rather than the development of Philippine economy”
Sabi nila (Admin) mas mabuti pa to kesa mag bloat lalo ang percentage ng Unemployment. Tama ba to?
“On National Level we lacked focus and direction. Puro Band-aid solution ang approach ng GMA administration sa unemployment problems”
So guys, what approach can we suggest to GMA that we are sure will work?
Think…
